CANTON, OH — THE STARK METROPOLITAN HOUSING AUTHORITY (SMHA) RECEIVES POSITIVE REVIEW FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD)
The Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) was notified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Cleveland Field Office that, “no deficiencies were noted” during its review of the agency’s contract files.
During the course of the visit, contract files were reviewed, and SMHA’s procurement policy, procedures, and a sample of payments were also evaluated. The HUD reviewer met with SMHA staff to review a sample of contract files, provide technical assistance, and assist SMHA to increase its performance.
“The staff has performed an excellent job and I am very pleased with the flawless review. I’m confident that SMHA will continue serving its residents, perform at a high level and work closely with HUD to improve the agency’s image.
