Doing Business with SMHA

Thank you for your interest in doing business with Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA). Here you will find all available business opportunities at SMHA.

Plans and specifications are available in electronic format. Bidders may purchase printed plans and specifications from SMHA with a non-refundable check or money order in the amount specified, made payable to SMHA. Solicitation packets may also be reviewed at SMHA Central Offices. Please contact the Procurement team to schedule an appointment.

You will be required to submit current copies of your company’s insurance and W-9 with your bid. Your company information is subject to various certification and background screenings performed by SMHA staff. Attendance at one of the pre-bid conferences is strongly recommended. During the pre-bid conferences, contractors are given instructions on how to place their bids, bid security requirements, Section 3 requirements, Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages, and a review of the work required.

All questions regarding any project must be submitted in writing by the specified deadline. Once all questions are received, answers will be returned via email and posted to this site. Any questions received after the deadline will not be answered.

All submissions must be sealed and received in our office by the applicable deadline.
